Biography
Nacho Laguna completed his advanced training at the Conservatory of Music of Aragón, the Berlin University of Arts, and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland), alongside Pedro Mateo González, Àlex Garrobé, Daniel Zapico, and Hopkinson Smith. In his role as a concert guest he regularly works with ensembles such as I Gemelli, Gli Incogniti, Artaserse, Les Musiciens du Louvre, La Cetra, Venice Baroque Orchestra, Pulcinella and artists such as Amandine Beyer, Phillippe Jaroussky, Emiliano González Toro, Christina Pluhar, Ophélie Galliard, Andrea Marcon, Emöke Barath, Zach Wilder, undertaking intensive concert tours throughout Europe, America and Asia, where he performs in venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Opéra Royal de Versailles, Tokyo Opera City, Hong Kong City Hall, Arsenal de Metz, Angers-Nantes Opéra, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, or Cirque Royal Brussels. He has recorded for record labels such as Harmonia Mundi, Aparte, Näive, Mediaphore Japon, Warner Classics, and Gemelli Factory, and for various radio and television outlets such as BBC Radio 3, Radio France, TV France, Medici.tv, Arte, and RTVE. In 2013, he founded the Ensemble Acciaccatura with Berta Ares. His debut album, Ferrarese, was released in May 2023 and was recently awarded “5 tuning forks” by the French magazine Diapason.
