“Lucia Caihuela’s voice is beautiful in every aspect: with perfect intonation, a fully developed sound profile, unmistakably emotionally mature and, not least, technically brilliant. We will perhaps never know how a castrato would have performed these baroque arias, but there is no doubt in my mind that Lucia is hard to beat in this type of music. […] After listening for 56 minutes and 36 seconds, the soloist and the musicians left me with an unexpected sense of contentment. And what is more, the sound quality allowed me to play full throttle without hurting my ears. What else can one wish for?”
