Biography

Alicia was born in Madrid. After studying piano and viola at the Conservatorio de Música Jerónimo Meseguer de Almansa, she then went to the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid to continue her undergraduate studies with Professor Alan Kovacs. After which she began studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria with Professor Peter Langgartner and then at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, Austria, where she studied for a Master’s degree with Professor Predrag Katanic.

A former member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, the European Union Youth Orchestra, and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, she has collaborated with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and has participated in the Academy Gustav Mahler in Bolzano, Italy, receiving classes from Jürgen Kussmaul, Antonello Farulli, and Guus Jeukendrup. She has collaborated with orchestras such as the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, and the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Currently, she is a viola professor at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid as well as being a member of the Tetraktys Ensemble and the Bauhaus Quartet.
